About

Miami Animal Rescue Society (MARS) is a non-profit organization comprised of a network of animal lovers who volunteer their time, energy and resources toward helping homeless animals that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. Our mission is to help facilitate the responsible rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of homeless animals that are local to Miami-Dade County. Our rescue efforts include ongoing community outreach and education, animal rights advocacy and helping to place needy animals in loving homes via our foster and adoption programs. Since MARS does not have a “shelter” or a physical location to house animals, we are unable to accept stray or unwanted animals but there are other ways in which we may be able to help. If you have found a stray animal or can no longer care for your pet, please contact us to discuss your options and we will do our best to assist you.
