Maryland Animal Society is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit group doing business under the name MAS Rescue, Inc. It was founded in 2005 by Mary Snyder to fulfill her dream and passion to save animals. (Mary, pictured to the right with our Adoption Coordinator, Jennifer Haber.) MAS Rescue is a group that is dedicated to helping shelter animals whose time has run out and whose destiny is deemed perilous. An all volunteer organization, we have a heartfelt desire to save as many animals as possible and work tirelessly to provide all the love and care they need. MAS Rescue has saved and placed over 5,000 dogs and cats in loving forever homes.
The process consists of your completion of an adoption application, our review of the application and contacting relevant references, verifying the application information and then contacting you with a decision about approval. Once approved, we ask that adopters meet the animal within 72 hours of the approval, decide within 24 hours of the meeting and adopt within 48 hours of the decision. We do require that all household members be present for the meeting and/or adoption, this includes your family dog(s).
Connect, seek advice, share knowledge.
