The Marion Area Humane Society (MAHS) is a resource for Marion County residents who may need to surrender pet(s) through a safe and secure process until placement is found. MAHS works to educate the public on humane treatment of pets. When funding is available, MAHS assists with costs involved in spaying/neutering to aid in the control pet overpopulation in the Marion community.

Adoption process
MAHS does its best to place animals into new and loving forever homes. Our adoption program consists of a short adoption application, manager’s approval, and completion of our contract.
