The office of the Dog Warden is committed to providing protective services for county residents in accordance with the 955 sections of the Ohio Revised Code with compassion and professionalism to ensure the safety and well being of the community. This shall be accomplished through the licensing of the dog population, and the collection and disposal of stray dogs in Mahoning County.

Adoption process

Check out our adoptable dogs on our Facebook page under Mahoning County Dog Warden and Petfinder. If you are interested in any of the dogs, complete and submit an Adoption Application and call our office to schedule a meet and greet. The cost of adoption is $150.00 which includes a current dog license, Distemper/Parvo vaccine, Rabies vaccine if the dog is old enough, Spay/Neuter, Heartworm Test and deworming medication.
