The mission of the Animal Control division is to protect the health and safety of our residents, and to protect animals and promote their humane treatment. The Animal Control division has adopted a no-kill philosophy, and will make every effort to promote pet adoptions of healthy, non-aggressive animals by the general public and by approved animal rescue organizations. To reduce the number of homeless pets, we will ensure that all dogs and cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
All of our adoptable pets are displayed on our website. If you see an animal that you would like to be considered for then please complete an Adoption Application. Our adoption coordinators will then work to process your application, verifying proper preventative care, licensing (if applicable) and residential information. Once you submit your application it is a good idea to contact your vet office and provide them with permission to release records on your current or past pets so that the vet reference check can run smoothly. In addition, it is a good idea to email a copy of your rental/lease agreement with pet policy to expedite the application process. When your application has been approved, which could take up to 5 business days, our adoption coordinators will contact you to schedule a meet-and-greet. Regular adoption hours are by appointment m-f 10am-4pm.
