Logan County Humane Society

About

The Logan County Humane Society is an independent, non-profit agency contracted by Logan County to provide an open intake facility for stray dogs and cats. LCHS receives compensation from the city of Russellville and from Logan County to run the shelter and care for animals. These funds represent less than one third of our operating budget, so we rely heavily on donations. The animals also desperately need the attention provided by our volunteers in order to stay mentally healthy. All types of domestic animals are welcome and will be adopted out after their 7 day stray hold times are up. Owner surrenders will be immediately adoptable. Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable place for the homeless animals in our care until we can find them a loving, forever home. We have many fund raisers throughout the year and we welcome the entire community to join in to support our animals and the shelter.
