We are a group of volunteers dedicated to finding fur-ever homes for Keeshonden in the Mid-Atlantic Region. K.A.R.M.A. is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Adoption process

There are a number of steps to become an approved K.A.R.M.A. adopter: Complete the application form; Provide 3 references who will be contacted; Veterinarian reference; Home visit. Our adoption fee varies dependent on age and health of the dog The fee includes all vaccinations, a heartworm test, fecal parasite test, blood tests, complete veterinary check and treatment of any applicable issues found. All dogs will be spayed/neutered prior to placement (unless medically contraindicated). We choose the best home for the dog to ensure a life long placement.
