About

iRescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of all the animals that come to us. We are an all breed rescue. Our pets go to their forever homes neutered/spayed to prevent the euthanasia of healthy animals and to reduce the number of unwanted pets being destroyed each year. We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering. We ensure that all our pets are in homes that will provide a safe living environment & that they can give the attention and interaction that pet deserves. Animals in our rescue are not "just a dog" or "just a cat", they are our family members until they are adopted. We utilize foster family homes throughout Texas & Oklahoma and the pets stay there until the correct home can be found. They are NOT in a shelter in cages, a facility or runs, they are all in loving homes that share our beds, our couches & our lives for that short period of our lives. iRescue's main location is in Weatherford, Texas. iRescue South is located in the Killeen, TX area & helps deaf and/or blind dogs on a space available basis - iRescue South is currently looking for foster homes or temporary foster homes for dogs & cats.

Adoption process

If you see a future family member you would like to meet or adopt please fill out our required adoption application & a volunteer will contact you as soon as possible. An application is required to be filled out in order to adopt a pet from iRescue. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason we deem fit. We do not adopt on a first come first serve basis, we place our pets in the home we feel will best suit their needs. We do not hold or "reserve" pets. Please do not submit this application unless you are truly serious about adopting one of our pets and are ready & able to pick up your new pet within 1 week following your approval
