About

Hyde Park Cats is an all-volunteer rescue helping cats in and around Chicago’s Hyde Park. We have a robust network of loving foster homes and about 200 adoptions annually. We received our 501©(3) status in 2014 and have had well over 1000 adoptions since our founding in 2008.

Adoption process

Write to us for an application at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com. Please note we have a firm policy of placing kittens (under the age of six months) in pairs or in a home with another cat whenever possible. Additionally, there are some cats who due to their active or shy personalities will be only be placed in a home with other companion animals. Bonded cats keep each other emotionally, psychologically, and physically healthy for life
