We’d describe ourselves as a small group of dedicated volunteers, rescuers and business professionals with a common bond: to help as many dogs and cats as is humanly possible. We are also friendly and approachable! The Humane Society of Union County is a 501C3 nonprofit organization. We are funded solely through the generosity of your contributions and receive no federal or local funding.

Adoption process

All adoptions require: A completed adoption application before you meet a foster dog or cat. A conversation with our adoption team to make sure the pet you’re interested in is a good match for you and your family. Reference checks. An adoption fee and contract. A home visit may be required to help properly introduce your new pet to other pets, or to make sure your fence is secure (some dogs are escape artists!)
