The Humane Society of Ottawa County was established in 1976. We are a NO KILL shelter and a 501(c)(3). We provide services and resources to the residents of Ottawa County both animal and human.

Adoption process

Cats - Fill out an application for the cat you are interested in. Submit application and allow 1-2 business days for reference checks. We will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with the cat you are interested in. Come to your scheduled meet and greet, fall in love with your new best friend. Take your new cat home and live happily ever after! Dogs - Fill out an application for the dog you are interested in. Submit application and allow 1-2 business days for reference checks. We will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in. Come to your scheduled meet and greet, fall in love with your new best friend. Take your new pet home and live happily ever after!
