The Hudson Valley SPCA is a unique shelter. Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, New York area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them - homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.

Our goal is to ensure that we are placing pets in a healthy, sustainable environment and that both pet and adopting family is happy. Please note that reference and background checks will be conducted before an application can be approved.
