In April 2018 a group of ten rabbits were obtained from an unsafe and horrible situation. Thankfully, each rabbit found a loving home with the help of our rescue friends at The Moon Dog Farm. This incident deeply impacted our founder, Dan Morgan, and he began to notice that many rabbits and small animals in the Peoria, IL. area were also desperately needing help. He decided to start Hoppy Haven Small Animal Rescue less then a year later, to continue saving the lives of small animals in similar dire situations. Our goal….To help all small animals that we have the means to help, while doing our best to minimize our environmental impact. We also strive to operate with a loving and caring vegan mindset.
