HPCAR is a not-for-profit charitable animal welfare organization supported solely by our programs and services and is not affiliated with any other organization. Organized by Christine Clawson, HPCAR’s mission is simple - help as many abandoned, neglected or abused South Florida animals as financially possible. HPCAR provides medical care, food and shelter for a number of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses and attempts to place them in approved, loving homes. HPCAR's mission also includes encouraging people to take responsible care of their pets and to treat them with the kindness and compassion they deserve, in addition to educating them about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to help eliminate irresponsible pet reproduction. HPCAR also supports and networks with other not-for-profit charitable animal rescue groups and donates its time and resources for the over-all cause. Christine has always had a passion for helping animals. Even as a child she would bring home any animal that she found on the street in need of a home, a meal or medical attention.
