Great Pyrenees Rescue of Iowa, Inc. is a non-profit, licensed shelter in the state of Iowa. We are a breed specific rescue specializing in the rescue, evaluation, rehabilitation and re-homing of purebred Great Pyrenees dogs and Great Pyrenees dog mixes. In addition to placing rescued dogs for companionship and therapy, we are uniquely able to evaluate and test our rescue's for placement as a working Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). We are sponsored by the Great Pyrenees Club of America and able to network with other GPCA sponsored rescues nationally.
