We are located in Wilmington Illinois. I bought my first chinchilla 15 years ago. I have read almost eveything about chins and I consider myself very knowledgable. I have been breeding chinchillas for 13 years. I have standards, beiges, pink whites, mosaics, tans, black velvets, and ebonies in my breeding stock. With over 20 chinchilla's, I normally have babies available. I started rescuing chinchillas in January 2007. They will normally go up for adoption a little after a month when they arrive. Alot of the rescues that come to me, can't take care of their chins anymore due to the ecnomony. These chins have been very well taken care of (most of the time.). All of the chinchillas listed for sale are all used to cats, dogs, kids and loud noises. All of the chinchillas listed for sale, have been hand tame as well, they have no problem coming up to the cage for a treat. I only give my chins a cheerio or two a few times a week, and one or two raisins a month. My chinchillas are all located in my garage., which I remodeled 2 years ago. The temperature in my garage is adjusted so its always cool, summer and winter. The coolest temperature is 55 and the warmest 72. Chinchillas do not have sweat glands so they can overheat very quickley. (when temperatures are two warm, or too much playtime.) I also sell chinchilla food and supplies including: handmade fleece hammocks, supplement, dust, pine hand made hidey houses, alfalfa cubes, chew blox, glass water bottles, chew toys, timothy hay, pine shavings, canvas carriers, fiddlesticks, apple wood and treats.
