About

In 2005, Cherie DaLynn established For the Luv of Paws II, Inc. (FLP), a domestic animal rescue and sanctuary, after seeing the tremendous need to have a “no kill” sanctuary for domestic animals that had been neglected, abused and abandoned in Mohave County, Arizona. The rescue/sanctuary, which is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Kingman, AZ on ten (10) acres of land in Golden Valley, Arizona, is fully permitted and licensed by Mohave County and is recognized by the State of Arizona and the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. A board of directors oversees the operation of the shelter. Volunteers help keep For the Luv of Paws functioning and successful at fulfilling our mission. The rescue/sanctuary houses on average 175 dogs and cats each month, some who have special needs. All animals receive professional veterinarian care and required immunizations. Individuals or families who want to adopt a dog or cat from the sanctuary must complete an application, have a secure, fenced yard and agree to a home inspection. No animal is released to their adoptive parents until they have received their immunizations and been spayed or neutered.

Adoption process

We seek loving people and homes for all of the dogs and cats that come to our sanctuary. If you would like to adopt a dog or cat, we request that you make an appointment to see the animal at our sanctuary (unless the cat is one of our cats featured at Petco). In order to adopt a dog, you must have a secured, fenced yard. A home check will be done by a For the Luv of Paws representative. Adoption fees do apply and include appropriate immunizations and spay/neuter of the animal. Adoption fees for cats: $80.00 - $125.00. Adoption fees for dogs: $150.00 - $200.00. Fees are dependent on breed, size, age and any special needs of animal.

My late husband & I adopted a very beautiful sweet girl years ago from for the Love of Paws. She crossed the Rainbow bridge sometime ago. I miss her so much but now have a Golden Mix boy that is so much like she was, precious in every way. The santuary is a great shelter well kept & pets are very well cared for. I am searching for another dog now looking for a medium size female perferably smooth coat that doesn't require alot of grooming. Something like a Beagle maybe. Doesn't have to be just one on that line, medium & smooth coated loveable & fun for my Rolex(my Golden Mix).
