Our two organizations, Strays Unlimited, Inc. and Focus On Ferals, Inc., are run by Vincent and Michelle Gugliuzza. The two organizations were once separate, with each of us not knowing about the other, even though we used the same vet. One day, we were both at the vet at the same time, Vinnie with his little Pomeranian, Joey, and I was there with my first FIV positive cat, Pepe. The rest is history. Instead of combining kids when we got married, we combined cats! We are two no-kill sanctuaries for cats, focusing on rescuing cats off the streets, including the harder to place cats, such as those that are blind or are FIV and/or FeLV positive, diabetic, the list goes on. WE DO NOT euthanize any cat unless there is no other option and the cat is suffering. As you can imagine, the cost of running these kinds of organizations is incredible. We are always in need of funds to keep going. We help with feral colonies as much as we can, but we can not do as much as we need to without donations.
I made contact via email with Michelle. Filled out adoption form and contacted my vet for references/history. Wanted to adopt one cat. Reached out again when I didn't hear back from her. Sad that she has so many cats to find homes for and can't even get back to the person that wants to adopt with a letter saying they have been denied. Her website says if you don't hear back within 3 days from submission of Adoption Form, you have been denied. HORRIBLE!!! Don't complain you have cats to care for and need donations when you don't give adopters a chance. I am very sad for the cats.
Does not adopt to families with active duty members, so don’t bother filling out the application if you or your spouse are in the military.
