Feathered Friends of Michigan is a 501(c)3 parrot rescue. We strive to offer aid to our communities unwanted, abandoned and abused parrot population. Our main goals are to find and train loving, devoted and educated homes for the parrots and other exotic birds that are in need of them while providing a safe haven for those in need.
The following are steps that must be taken to adopt a bird from us: 1.) You must fill out an adoption application. 2.) You must sign an adoption contract. 3.) You will have a home check to ensure proper cage size, placement, and environment. 4.) If you have no prior experience with parrots you will need to spend some time volunteering here at the rescue. If you are doing a jump to a much different species than you have experience with you must spend a few hours volunteering and caring for and getting to know that species. When emailing or calling me for a possible adoption please have filled out and emailed back to me an adoption application first. The contract is below for you to review. You will fill that out in person when you come to adopt your bird.
