About

Eaton Animal Den currently has the Town of Eaton and Town of Severance contract for stray canines found within city limits. If a stray dog is picked up by the Eaton Police Department or Severance Animal Control, they bring the dog to us and Eaton Animal Den attempts to find the owner. All impounded dogs are placed in the Greeley Tribune lost/found ads. If the dog goes unclaimed, the animal is taken care of medically and physically through a quarantine period and placed in our adoption program if the dog qualifies.

Adoption process

Every animal in our adoption program has been spayed or neutered prior to any adoption being completed. All of our animals are updated on Distemper/Parvo, Oral Bordetella, and Rabies (given they are old enough). There is an Adoption Application; including a process of a background check, and possible home visit, prior to placement of any of our adoption animals. All adoptions have a related fee to help us recoup some of the costs of medical care and attention during their tay at Eaton Animal Den. Eaton Animal Den is not a non-profit rescue therefore we do not receive any grant money to help us be able to care for all the dogs that owners do not come back to claim. Throughout the year we do small fundraisers to assist in some of the expenses it takes to be able to offer these wonderful four legged companions a second chance with a new family. We also have many generous clients who donate time and money towards our adoption program which is a great gift for all of us to be able to continue our adoption program, our gratitude is extended to all of you who help us help these dogs have their second chance! All year long we accept and recycle aluminum cans to help cover some of the food expenses for our adoption program. Remember when you do your spring cleaning we graciously accept donations of towels, blankets, bedding, and rugs as well.
