Colorado Beagle Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt, organization operated 100% by volunteers who are dedicated to preserving the welfare of the Beagle breed. The organization relies completely upon tax-deductible donations to support itself. Your generous donations help us cover the cost of spaying/neutering, veterinary care, food, foster placement, transportation of dogs, identification tags, and basic administrative expenses, etc.
A loving family that will devote time, energy, patience and especially love to train and care for the beagle. A yard with at least a 4-foot high fence. Some beagles require a higher fence, because they are jumpers. An unseen or electric fence is unacceptable as most beagles will run through it. Outside access for the dog during the day. This can be accomplished by someone being home during all or part of the day, having access to a dog door, or having someone available to let the dog out. A home check by a CBR volunteer prior to the adoption. An appointment is made for the visit. Dogs less than two years of age will not be placed in a home with children under six years old. However, a dog older than two years can be placed with young children. A young beagle will jump on a child and can knock the child over, will take food or toys from a child, will pull the child’s clothing or hair or will nip the child. A young dog treats a young child like another puppy. Complete an adoption application form.
i am amazed that colorado springs is always under repair, and that adoption fees are so incredibly HIGH! your fees for Concha and Betty are higher than purchasing from a breeder or puppy mill!! Whiskey Tango are your priorities? placement or profit? we have rescued four beagles in the past 15 years, all passed of old age, and now this????
