Central Arkansas Rescue Effort (care) For Animals, Inc.

About

Created in 1998, CARE has grown from an initial group of four volunteers into an organization with three employees and hundreds of volunteers who devote thousands of hours to its rescue/adoption and spay/neuter efforts and to recruit the necessary financial support. CARE is a 501(c)(3) Arkansas nonprofit corporation and a charitable organization fully funded by donations. All donations are tax-deductible. CARE's headquarters/gift shop is located at 5516 Kavanaugh Boulevard, Little Rock (in the Heights Business District).

Adoption process

Looking for a new companion for your family? Take a look at the pets below. If you're interested in meeting or learning more about one of our adoptable pets, please submit the Online Adoption Application. A CARE representative will contact you soon! When you adopt a pet from CARE, you save a life! CARE rescues these amazing pets from homelessness, often with the likely fate of euthanasia, and offers them a chance for a great life. Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet! Our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes, and our Paws in Prison dogs live in the prison units during their training. Because we don't have a shelter, we must arrange a time for your "meet-and-greet" with the pet. Selected pets are on site every Saturday at CARE's headquarters during our "Saturday Showings." CARE's adoption fee is $200 for a puppy or dog and $250 for a puppy or dog in the Paws in Prison program. The adoption fee for a cat or kitten is $100. These fees are used to help rescue other animals.
