The Catawba County Animal Shelter is located at 201 Government Services Drive on the Catawba County Government Center campus in Newton. The shelter is operated and staffed by Catawba County Animal Services. After receiving comprehensive medical and temperament examinations, animals taken in by the shelter are made available for adoption. Additionally, our full-time Rescue/Foster Coordinator works with outside rescue organizations to place animals.
