Caldwell Animal Rescue is a volunteer based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in September 2011 to work along with existing area animal rescue organizations such as the Caldwell Humane Society, Animal Control, and The Cat's Cradle. The number of unwanted and abused animals in Caldwell County is staggering. Over 4300 unwanted pets were euthanized at Caldwell County Animal Control in 2010, many of which were adoptable, if only they had been connected with area families. It is our vision to help the pets and their owners of our community, by: Assisting pet owners to prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens being born through coordinating low cost spay & neuter options with area veterinarians and clinics; Introduce and join homeless animals with loving homes; Helping area pet owners to keep their pets, rather than having to surrender them when difficult times arise; Working along side agencies that assist those in domestic viiolence situations, providing a safe haven for their pets when needed; Collaborate with the other existing animal rescue and care orgainzations within the area, because when we all work together, much can be accomplished!
