Broward County Animal Care And Adoption

About

Animal Care provides shelter for homeless pets and helps reunite owners with their lost dog or cat. Animal Care offers spay/neuter services for pets and community cats, as well as neighborhood Rabies Clinics. In addition, the agency enforces animal laws to help support public safety. Animal Care also offers Volunteer and Foster opportunities to those interested in supporting pets in need.

Adoption process

1. View our available dogs and cats. 2. If you see a pet that you would like to adopt, please note the pet's Animal ID number (begins with the letter "A"). Also note the pet's name if one is listed. 3. Complete and electronically sign an Adoption Application ONLINE. Submit the application, which will automatically be received by our Customer Service team. WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE PUT THE ANIMAL ID NUMBER IN THE SUBJECT LINE! 4. One of our Customer Service representatives will call you for further information in order to complete the application process. Because of this, please be sure to include a readily available phone number on your application. Please allow a minimum of 72 hours for us to get back to you regarding your Application. 5. If the pet is available, and your Adoption Application is approved, a specific date and time will be reserved for you to meet and take home your new pet.
