Our mission is to balance the health, safety and welfare needs of the people and animals in our City: To provide education to promote responsible pet ownership; To protect animals and citizens by actively enforcing state and local laws; Reduce pet overpopulation through education regarding spaying and neutering; Strengthening the human-animal bond to reduce the number of animals surrendered to overcrowded shelters; Reuniting lost and missing pets with the rightful owners; Adoption of unwanted, abused, special needs and neglected animals into loving, permanent homes; Work closely with respectable rescuesTo ensure that all animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption in an effort to reduce the number of homeless pets; To provide a loving, temporary shelter while maintaining a vigorous relocation program.
