Basset Rescue of Montana, based in Frenchtown, was founded in 1995. We have been in operation for over 20 years now and I, Leslie Ames, have taken on the duties of President of the Board. A twist of fate, and a passion to save dogs, has placed me here. Our 501(c)3 nonprofit is a full service rescue and placement organization for the basset hound breed. We are dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned, neglected, and/or unwanted bassets. We understand that sometimes life unfairly throws us cruel curves, so we also accept relinquished hounds. We'll take any basset, for any reason. Our mission is to find the best possible "forever" homes for these dogs.
