About

Barely Used Pets is not your typical shelter or rescue home. Our environment offers a free-roaming society where the dogs are not kenneled all day but can roam and run freely within a confined, fenced area. Our residents can walk inside and outside as weather permits. All of our dogs are socialized and assessed daily.

Adoption process

All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, wormed, and given flea treatment. The adoption fee includes a current dog license. One can typically adopt a dog or cat the same day with some exceptions. We must have verbal or written approval from a landlord for individuals who rent their home. We recommend that if you currently own a dog, you bring him/her in to meet the dog you would like to adopt. We reserve the right to deny an adoption if we feel it is not the right fit or if that particular dog would not be the best fit in certain situations. The adoption application is done at the time of adoption. You must provide a valid ID at the time of adoption.
