AWSOM provides shelter and medical care for companion animals where they are free from abuse, hunger, fear and loneliness, until placing them in responsible forever homes.

Adoption process

A pre-adoption application is required for all adopters. PLEASE NOTE: this is just the first step in the process. Staff will contact you upon approval. Also, the application is not pet specific. Once you are approved, you are approved for adoption of any AWSOM animal. Once you have received approval, all adopters are required to come to the shelter for a meet and greet. If you decide to go forward with adoption, an AWSOM Adoption Agreement must be completed and adoption fees are expected at time of adoption.
