Animal Care League is committed to providing shelter, medical care, and comfort to animals in need; reducing animal overpopulation; and acting as a community resource, thus promoting the human/animal bond.

Adoption process

To begin the adoption process, we will ask you to complete an Adoption Questionnaire. This will give our staff a starting point to help you find your new pet. This questionnaire can be completed at the shelter, or you can print a copy from this website and bring it with when you visit. An adoption counselor will review the questionnaire with you and help determine animals who may be a great fit for you. Once approved, our staff will provide lots of time for you to interact with potential adoption candidates for your home. The Animal Care League has many wonderful companion animals for adoption. Sometimes just the right fit is here when you first visit; other times you may need to come back a time or two before you find the companion who has been just waiting to meet you!
