A Better English Setter Rescue

Founded on March 10, 2014, A Better English Setter Rescue (ABESR) is dedicated to rescuing English Setters from shelters and poor living conditions and helping those that need to be re-homed for other reasons. Our Board Members and Volunteers have many years experience saving dogs. We have taken our collective wisdom and love for the English Setter breed to create ABESR, a safe haven for homeless English Setters. Our hope is that with our entrance into this community, more English Setters and English Setter mixes will be saved, taught to love and trust again, and find the home of their dreams. We would love for you to journey with us on this quest.

Adoption process

1. Submit an application. 2. You will receive a phone call for an initial interview. 3. We check your references and schedule a virtual home visit. 4. Once approved you will be assigned a Buddy to help you find an available English Setter.
