2nd Chance Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; we are dedicated to saving neglected, abandoned, and fearful dogs. We also work with our local shelters in saving the “extreme medical” dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized due to their injuries. We provide the proper medical, shelter, and a safe environment, in order to help them overcome their insecurities and regain their trust in humanity. We have opened our hearts to them with the hope and goal of finding them their forever homes. Unfortunately, some dogs have been abused and/or neglected to the point where they no longer trust humans - for those dogs, our rescue is their sanctuary, to live out the rest of their days, loved and secure. Please consider opening your home and heart to one of our amazing dogs. If you aren’t able to adopt one of our dogs, please consider making a donation to their medical and rehabilitation; 100% of your donation goes to their care and is tax-deductible, as our organization is completely volunteer-run and operated, with no paid salaries.
Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application. Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you (within 24-48 hours). If your application is approved we will arrange a meet and greet/home check. 2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Mesa, Gilbert, Chander, Tempe (as long as you are within 50 miles of our rescue which is located in Queen Creek). Our foster, foster to adopt policy for our puppies under 16 weeks old is different than our adopt policy. We will only place our puppies (16 weeks and younger) into foster, foster to adopt homes within a 30-40 mile radius.
